Sheri Moore’s letter to me (which was completely unedited and unsolicited), is the best evidence of the difference between Shaolin-Do and many of the other martial arts schools out there. The general public truly believes that there are no differences between one school and the next and that nobody would ever try to rip them off when it comes to teaching their child.
When you come into my school you will find ample evidence that I care far more about teaching you and your children than I ever will about making a fast buck. Our prices have always been cheaper than the rest and without a registration fee. This is the case even though we have one of the largest and best equipped facilities in the city. We offer more classes and more instructors per student. All of this and I haven't even addressed the superior quality of the material taught yet. In fact, we teach more material before you ever even get to black belt than 99% of schools teach in the entire art. Amazingly, the material we teach up to black belt only represents 10% of the total material I teach in my school.
When you add all these factors up, you will finally understand why we have the largest and most successful adult program in Central Texas. Adults will never continue to pay for something that doesn’t have real value, and parents will only pay for a certain length of time (like Sheri’s testimonial, which I just copied and pasted to the site straight from her email)
A Final Note
I have always operated my school more like a family than a business. Does it mean that I’m not a “good” business man? Probably, but I’d rather be a good person. I truly believe that you can be successful without being deceitful or manipulative, and that the public will reward it with their patronage and by referring others to your door. I run my school this way because it is the way I wish the world worked.
