Our Community Gets Involved Where They Can
Clothes For Austin’s Homeless
We have ongoing clothing collection boxes for Austin’s homeless so if you are cleaning out the closets please consider bringing in clean, gently used clothing, coats and shoes to donate. And around the holidays please bring in canned goods for the local foodbank.
Knit or Crochet for Charity
1st Sunday of Every Month 11-1 at the North School. If you crochet or knit and would like to create items to donate to charity in a fun group while discussing proactive ideas – we are forming a Close-Knit Group at the north Austin location. We meet once a month to work together and combine our items to mail to the appropriate charities. (Shawls and blankets for seniors, blankets, booties an hats for needy babies, hats and scarves for veterans and the homeless, whatever group you’d like to create for!) message Master Sheryl to get involved. And if you can’t knit or crochet but want to learn how to be part of the group, or want to get involved in collecting yarn, mailing items, there’s room for you!
This is a mini golf “tournament” that took place at Peter Pan Golf Course in the Spring to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. We have participated the last two years but sadly, the event has been cancelled. We are looking for more opportunities however, for the tribe to help make a difference!
Tuition Donations – We already help Veterans and First Responders as well as the occasional student who hits a rough patch, with tuition. Your donation will help us reach that many more.
Donating to either of these groups helps the school, to offset the cost of assistance. Thank you.
